Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers UK (AFBE-UK) confirms new partnership with Royal Navy.

AFBE-UK is excited to announce a new partnership with Royal Navy. The partnership will see Royal Navy work with AFBE-UK to provide new opportunities for black and minority ethnics studying and working in engineering, consulting, and provide a network of support for their existing staff.

Engineering is essential to the success of Royal Navy. The Engineering branch keeps the Royal Navy moving. From our aircraft, ships, and submarines, to weapons and comms, our engineers are essential to global operations. With a variety of entry options, Royal navy employs qualified Engineers and also gives the opportunity to undertake your training with Royal navy.

As part of the partnership with Royal Navy, AFBE-UK will support the company’s equality, diversity and inclusion strategy and will work together on recruiting the next generation of engineers. Together, AFBE-UK and Ansys have so far identified key strategic areas to work on, which include recruitment, outreach, and events.

Lt Cdr Jon Pollard, Royal Navy said: “The Royal Navy is delighted to be able to work with the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers going forward. As a diverse employer of over 30,000 men and women from all walks of life, the Royal Navy has a plethora of varied Engineering roles. We look forward to being able to showcase all the Royal Navy has to offer to the Association’s members.
