About the Event

Join us for an uplifting evening celebrating Black history and changemakers! We will explore stories of inventors, innovators, ancient civilizations, and pioneering leaders, delving into the hidden histories of Black brilliance with Calbert & Isabella. Additionally, we will be joined by four trailblazers whose lived experiences have shaped their initiatives to empower others.

Explore exhibition stands showcasing the best history books, Black history timelines, and Black-owned businesses. Enjoy African & Caribbean soul food while networking and celebrating Black brilliance.

About the Speakers:

Calbert Bradford & Isabella Mascarenhas: Cultural historians and educators with a passion for sharing knowledge about Black history. Together, they have curated learning modules covering topics such as Kings & Queens, Ancient Civilisations, and Modern Day Trailblazers.

Nike & Ollie Folayan: Co-founders of the Association for Black & Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE), who have been awarded MBEs for their contributions to diversity in engineering. AFBE provides career guidance and corporate programmes to help companies diversify talent.

Courtney Daniella Boateng & Renée Kapuku: Co-founders of "To My Sisters," a women's empowerment organisation that hosts personal development retreats, events, and produces a popular podcast with a global network of young, enterprising women.
